こんにちは。Free∞Spiritで新しく導入したダンスの教え方のお話、続きです。

今回のテーマは大坂のバトルから帰ってきて、その日のレッスンでメンバーにお話して、始めたこと。

3. 要素、フォーム、ルービック・アルファベットの手法

1つ目は要素。

自然界がいろいろな要素で成り立つように、ストリートダンスにも要素があります。その要素を学んでダンススタイルに取り入れることによってダンスに構造と文脈を作りあげることができる。そして、ダンサーの動きに深みを出していくことができます。

2つ目。ダンスにさらに一味加えるのが、フォームであり、キャラクターです。

例えばクランパーは、ダンスバトルなど一つ一つの場面で、別名を用いてどんなダンスで挑むかアプローチを変えていきます。

私はPrince L.O-3だけども、例えばフォームやキャラクターを変えてBeast と名乗って出ていく。Prince Beastと冠して、Beastっぽいダンスをするんです。

この方程式はどんなストリートダンスシーンでも応用できます。

そして３つ目のルービック、アルファベット方式。

これは一つの動きをルービックキューブを操るかのようにできるだけ何倍ものバリエーションに変えていくことです。そうすることによって、自分のムーブから数えきれないコンビネーションを作り出すことができます。

3. Elements, Forms, Rubik’s/Alphabet Methods

Just like in nature, there are elements in street dance.  The properties of elements can be studied and applied to one’s dance style, creating structure and texture.  This will give dancers a deeper level of movement.

Another way to add layers to one’s dance would be the implementation of forms or characters.

Krumpers have different aliases to represent the type of approach they will take when dancing.  For example, my name is Prince L.O-3, but when I change my form or character (let’s call it Beast) I can become something that resembles that of a beast when I dance.

The same principle can be applied to style of any street dance.

The third would be the Rubik’s or Alphabet concept, where you take one move and try to make as many variations of that one move as possible.

That way, the amount of moves you can execute can be multiplied into countless combinations.
